Environment and Sustainability

A permanent team of skilled employees has helped to shape quality and competencies in the nursery over the years, and we have accommodation for several international employees, recruited to step in especially in the high season, when more hands are needed. It provides a good combination of flexibility and professionalism, and several of them have now also become horticultural students with us.

There are several generations within horticulture and fruit growing in the family, so it was only natural that daughter, Tine trained as a florist and Ole as gardener and production manager. After a few years employed at three different nurseries in the USA, Ole returned home to work in the family business, and in 2010 the nursery passed on to a new generation when Ole took over the business. Today, the whole family meets daily at the dinner table, as Bente is in charge of the food during breaks, Poul is responsible for stock status and miscellaneous, Tine is a regular part of the team in the nursery. Ole is director and production planner, and his wife Sanne is in charge of marketing. The next generation have also all worked as school children in the nursery, while contemplating their educational paths, where Sarah is in charge of cleaning and the Instagram profile, and Kevin is working as an apprentice – and now intends to study to be a gardener.

We celebrate our 50th anniversary in 2022, and we run the business with professional pride.
